What is a news client?

Watch the video!

In order to access Usenet through Giganews, you will need to use software called a news client (also known as a Usenet client or a newsreader).

Just like an email client, a news client will allow you to view all messages in folders, sort messages, read messages, send new messages, download message attachments and even search for specific messages.

Similar to email, you will need to enter your username, password, and Giganews’ server address into your news client to access Giganews’ Usenet servers. The free news client Microsoft Outlook Express may already be installed on your computer.

My ISP has that "other" newsgroups service. Their newsgroups retention time is 2 days at best, and headers are often not complete. Your prices are fair, speed is right on the money, and I always STAY connected, something my ISP's news server has big problems doing.
