New VyprVPN DD-WRT Router Set up Instructions for PPTP protocol!

Tuesday, July 10, 2012

Did you know you can use VyprVPN on your router with DD-WRT firmware installed? After VyprVPN is set up on your router, every device connected to your network will share the same VyprVPN connection – including devices without native VPN support!

Reasons to use VyprVPN PPTP with DD-WRT routers:

  • Multiple devices share a single VyprVPN connection – Use a single VyprVPN account to protect your entire network and any connected devices.
  • Protect devices without native VPN support – Devices without native VPN support, such as your Xbox, PS3, Smart TV, or web-enabled Blu-ray player, can access the internet with a secure VPN connection. With PPTP configured on your DD-WRT enabled router, your whole network is protected.
  • Preserve your local network – A device using VyprVPN is sometimes unable to communicate with other devices on your local area network. With VyprVPN set up on your router, all devices can connect with the same VyprVPN connection allowing devices to communicate on your local network.

Please read our VyprVPN DD-WRT router set up instructions for PPTP and configure your router to secure every device on your network.

Please note that VyprVPN only supports one VyprVPN connection per user. Before connecting your router to VyprVPN, please ensure you don’t have any other active VyprVPN connections. If you are currently connected to VyprVPN, learn how to remotely disconnect VyprVPN connections using the Giganews Control Panel so you can setup VyprVPN on your DD-WRT router. Users can also use the Giganews mobile app to remotely disconnect VyprVPN connections before connecting your router to VyprVPN using PPTP.
